​​​​​​The Company:

  • This is a brand-new expansion position to join a family-owned provider of precision metal fabrication services. 

  • Established for over 40 years with a blue-chip client base, there is the investment and ambition to grow the business massively by the end of the decade. 

  • With a well-established client base in the mobile OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) space, they are looking for a Business Development manager to generate further businesses in this space and look for new opportunities with other OEM, with particular interest  in the aerospace, oil & gas, and power generation sectors. 

  • With a stable team of highly experienced engineers, they have the capacity to take on significant new clients. 

  • This role has genuine scope to evolve into a sales management and even director level position over time. 

 

The Role of the Business Development Manager 

  • As the Business Development Manager, you will be seeking new clients and new markets for their precision metal fabrication, sheet metal and other engineered products. 

  • Working from home, you will manage your own time and travel extensively to win new 3-year contracts with businesses that have a significant annual spend on metal fabrication. 

  • With existing client data, outsourced lead generation and your own knowledge and expertise, you will identify new OEM clients in the mobile, aerospace oil & gas, power generation or other engineering sectors.

The Ideal Person for the Business Development Manager 

  • To apply for the Business Development Manager role, you must have experience of generating new business from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). 

  • With a technical or engineering qualification, preferably a degree, you will be an ambitious career-focused individual looking for an employer that can, and will, give you the opportunity to progress professionally. 

  • Capable of dealing with large customers and articulate a service sale to numerous points of contact, stake holders and decision makers.
