Development agreement signed for building services project
27 October 2009
A housebuilding initiative in Warwickshire that will see 820 residences constructed over the next ten to 12 years has moved closer to completion with the signing of a development agreement.
Barratt Mercia, a housing association, confirmed the document with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council to progress with the Bluebell development of the Pride in Camp Hill regeneration venture.
Chris Egan, project manager of the scheme, said that it represented a "huge milestone".
"We can look forward to high-quality housing that will stand the test of time, that is energy-efficient and of new high-quality designs," he stated.
Funding for the properties is to be given by Advantage West Midlands and the Homes and Communities Agency, with the latter providing £8.2 million through its National Affordable Housing Programme.
According to the Pride in Camp Hill website, the scheme is aimed at improving the social, economic and physical aspects of the lives of residents and businesses.
