Building services firm 'wins coatings, repairs and treatments contract'
8 December 2009
People looking for jobs in coatings, repairs and treatments may be interested to learn that one organisation has secured a five-year maintenance deal with Birmingham Council.
Starting in 2010, the £95 million deal will see Willmott Dixon's social housing division - Inspace - provide 24-hour call out services for 40,000 social housing properties in south Birmingham, Building Magazine reports.
According to the news provider, the firm already manages a similar contract for the north of the city, which covers 20,000 residences.
Managing director of Inspace Mick Williamson said the organisation is "determined" to help support the local authority's aims of offering tenants an efficient and cost-effective service.
"We are very much looking forward to migrating our successes in the north to the south when the contract goes live," he added.
In recent news, Inspace ranked as the highest social housing contractor in NextGeneration's 2009 sustainability report for UK house builders.
