Building services grant approved for West Sussex
1 March 2010
Those seeking
construction sales jobs in the West Sussex area may be interested to learn that East Grinstead has received a £1.45 million grant from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Approval was given for the RHNineteen development in Garlands Road, which will see 26 new and affordable residences built to keep up with demand in the region.
Commenting on the decision, head of area at the HCA said there is currently a great need for social housing in East Grinstead.
He stated: "I'm delighted that the HCA is able to support the Garland Road development to replace an old derelict office block and create an affordable and sustainable place for people to live."
Work onsite is expected to begin next month, with the initiative due to be completed by September 2011.
Last month, the organisation also gave £4.9 million worth of funding to a similar project in Buckinghamshire, with the Berryfields development in Aylesbury set to construct 384 new domiciles.
