Engineering sales jobs to benefit from bio-tech industry?
28 January 2010
Engineering sales jobs could benefit from the upsurge in bio-tech industry, it has been claimed.
Michael Baxter, editor of Investment and Business News, believes the industry is one that Britain is "very good" at.
The key to staying out of recession is to provide financial support for the area, he stated, with bank loans not necessarily the best way forward.
He said: "The problem is a lot of businesses don't want to borrow at the moment so they probably need to find another mechanism for providing funding for business."
Mr Baxter also commended the inception of the UK Innovation Investment Fund, which he believes will help the commercial sector move forward.
The news follows an announcement by the Office for National Statistics that gross domestic product increased by 0.1 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2009, with the rise in output put down to the growth in services and production.
