Businesses 'must attract high-flying workers'
Executives are meeting in London today to discuss how companies can attract the high-flying performers within the jobs market.

Representatives from Astadia Consulting UK and Cornerstone OnDemand are hosting a business gathering to discuss how organisations can recruit, develop, motivate and retain the best workers.

The meeting will tackle issues that may be relevant to companies looking to develop their workforce's career in sales, such as how firms can drive employee engagement and reap the benefits despite the economic slowdown.

"An organisation's most valuable asset is its employees, but with more limited budgets and resources, businesses are becoming increasingly uncertain about the direction of their talent strategies," remarked Cornerstone spokesperson Vincent Belliveau.

He argued that now is the best time for firms to attract and cultivate high-performing workers.

His sentiments echo that of Jaine Clarke, director of communications for the Learning and Skills Council, who has argued that training is "key" to an organisation's profitability.
