Commercial sales jobs boost in retail sector
22 February 2010
Commercial sales jobs seekers may be encouraged to learn that a retail industry giant has pledged to create 6,000 new jobs in 2010.
The announcement will facilitate employment in ten new stores and ten extensions to be carried out during the year.
Chet Kuchinad, people director at Asda, stated that the declaration of the new roles - that built on the appointment of 20,000 extra workers over the last three years - during a difficult economic time was testament to the success the company is having.
He added: "With one of the lowest turnover rates in British retail, we have an incredibly motivated and experienced workforce and are looking forward to expanding this in 2010."
It was recently revealed in a CBR report that businesses are losing millions of pounds because staff are not trained correctly - with David Freedman, sales director at Huthwaite International, stating that managers should try to develop workers in this area.
