Sales jobs seekers 'may benefit from more training'
10 March 2010
Sales jobs seekers may be interested to know that it has been suggested employers can do a lot more to help train up younger employees.
Steve Huxham, chairman of the Recruitment Society, noted that companies need to make sure that more encouragement is given to workers to take on extra courses that will improve their skills.
"The government should play a part in supporting those employers and make sure that it is as easy as possible for them to do so," he added.
It will always be a problem deciding who the responsibility should be on when it comes to training, whether it is the organisation or the individual, Mr Huxham remarked.
But, he observed that there is always more that can be done.
It was recently announced by the Resolution Foundation that low earners will spend 41 per cent of their income on essential items, compared with 21 per cent of those who are on high wages.
